Transportation is all around us. You can talk about the different types of transportation wherever you are. Engage your child in conversation by asking him/her about the colors of the cars they see in the streets, asking him/her about the function of boats in the lake, etc.

Singing helps children to develop sound awareness skills that are important to learning to read. Sing with your children before going to bed, in the car, before or after reading a book, basically any time is a good time to engage your children in singing.
